The mines of the Viburnum Trend Mining District in eastern Missouri produce exquesite specimens of Calcite, Galena, Marcasite and Chalcopyrite as well as several more exotic minerals and crystal shapes such as Spinel Twin Galena and Pyrite Bars. Sweetwater Mine is the only known location for Black Phantom Calcite.
