Terms & Conditions

Our Policies


 

  • This is a wholesale only website. You must provide us with your state sales tax ID number when you register.
  • All Prices are posted and payable in USD.
  • Our prices are subject to change as the market and shipping costs change.
  • Our minimum order is $100.00


 

Domestic Shipping

  •  You can now select "Most Economical" for your shipping method at checkout and we will pick the lowest cost shipping method for your order.
  • Shipping charges are calculated manually, as every package is different. Our products are natural in origin and very rarely do any two items of the same type have the same weight, which makes it impossible to calculate shipping automatically.
  • We prefer UPS Ground but you may request expedited service via phone or email.
  • We recommend United States Postal Service (USPS) for shipments to Alaska and Hawaii.
  • If you select United States Postal Service (USPS) at checkout, we will pack your order in as few Flat Rate Boxes as possible (click here for current rates). We will select the smallest size that we feel can safely contain your order with sufficient packing material to prevent breakage.
  • Shipping charges will be added to your invoice total when your order ships. We charge a $3.00 handling fee per package shipped.
  • We pay the freight on all non-Gem/Fossil Bag orders over $750.00.
  • We pay the freight on all Gem/Fossil Bag orders over 1500 bags.
  • Gem/Fossil bags are shipped UPS (<100 bag orders only) or by truck freight.
  • On orders over 500 pounds we will shop for the most cost effective manner to ship your order. We have very good discounts with several truck lines and we will contact you if your order will be best shipped this way.
  • For orders of 25 or more pounds of items sold by the pound, we recommend that you choose USPS as your shipping method. This can cut the shipping cost of heavy items by up to half, depending on weight and your distance from our warehouse in Van Buren, MO. For example: 50 pounds of tumbled stone fits perfectly in a USPS Large Flat Rate Box, which costs less than $19 to ship (anywhere in the US), while the same 50 pounds of product may cost over $30 (continental US) or much more (Alaska, Hawaii, territories) to ship via UPS.

 

 

International Shipping

 

  • United States Postal Service (USPS): For all international shipments, we will use United States Postal Service Priority Air Mail, using Flat Rate Boxes (click here for current rates), as this allows us to process your order more efficiently. We can only get postage and customs information after submitting complete package data to the Postal Service, so shipping charges will be added to your invoice total when your order ships. Please note that we also purchase insurance on all packages (click here for current rates, click "International", scroll to "Priority Mail International Insurance").
  • United Parcel Service (UPS): You may request UPS for international shipments, but you must provide a UPS account number so that all freight charges (shipping, customs, etc.) are billed directly to you. UPS is not available on our order processing screen; you can provide your UPS account number, along with a note letting us know that you prefer UPS, in the order comments box during checkout or you can call or email us with your UPS account number after placing your order. Your account number will be verified before we use it to ship to you. Click here to estimate shipping cost. (Use zip code 63965 in the United States for the 'ship from' address. Use 20 pounds for the weight; this will help you compare with USPS, as 20 pounds is the maximum allowed weight of a USPS Flat Rate box for international shipments.)
  • All Shipments: All international shipments will incur a $10 USD per package international handling fee regardless of shipping method.


 

Payment Terms

 

  • Unless you have a pre-approved net terms account, payment must accompany each order. We accept all major credit cards.
  • Open Net 30 accounts are available to museums, zoos, aquariums, state & national park concessions, and nature centers. Please fax or email a credit sheet with your resale tax number. We will set up your account and email you instructions.
  • All credit card payments rejected due to improperly entered information will incur a $10 service fee to cover our expense in time, phone bills, etc. to obtain correct information.
  • Payment is not processed at the instant of checkout; your credit card information is encrypted and securely stored until shipping charges have been added to your order and it is ready to ship.
  • Special Orders: We have  access to a vast variety of mineral & fossil items, jewelry, displays, etc. We accept requests for items not in our regular inventory as Special Orders. All Special Orders require a deposit before we begin shopping for you. Deposit amount will be at least the estimated full value of the product(s) ordered and may be more to cover the costs of locating, shipping, importing, etc. Please consider this information before making special requests.

 

 

Returns

 

  • We work very hard to maintain consistent quality in our products but some variation in color, style, quality, etc. is inevitable. Most of our products are produced, in one way or another, from natural stone which contains natural flaws, fractures, and variations before it is ever dug out of the ground. Many people consider these imperfections to be part of the stone's natural beauty and part of what makes each piece unique. However, if you are dissatisfied with our products for any reason please notify us within 10 (ten) days. You may return merchandise in its original condition, carefully packaged for credit or replacement with similar or other products. We do not issue call tags or accept CODs. We will not accept returns more than 30 (thirty) days after the invoice date.
  • We do not send 'Pick Boxes' to be highgraded,we expect that if you place an order you want the items ordered. We do not send merchandise on approval. You are welcome to visit our warehouse where you may sort til your heart is content.


 

Damaged Goods

 

  • We pack orders carefully and experience very little damage. If you receive merchandise damaged in transit please notify us immediately. We will replace items unless they are one-of-a-kind in which case we will offer you other choices. Be advised that most carriers will want to pick up damaged goods and the package so don't throw anything away.
  • Please note that (as stated above under "Returns") many of our products contain natural imperfections that may not be shipping damage at all. Please provide photos of damaged items via email.

 

 

Store Emails

 

  • By registering on our site, you agree to allow us to send emails to the address you give us during registration.
  • We will occasionally (once every few weeks) send out emails advertising specials, new products, and other updates.
  • We only use the BCC (Blind Carbon Copy) field to send emails. We now use a specialized email form in MS Outlook that only displays the BCC field in order to prevent mistakes.
  • If you do not wish to receive mass emails from us, just click the unsubscribe link in one of the emails we send you. If you add us to your spam filter's 'blocked senders' list, you will not be able to receive store emails, such as order confirmation/complete emails.
